The doctors and allied health professionals who consult here work as independent health professionals consulting at our practice. They maintain full professional autonomy in the treatment of their patients, and are individually responsible for determining their lists of services offered, appointment schedules and availabilities and consultation fees, amongst all other issues relevant to the services they provide.
About us

Dundas Valley Medical Centre was founded over 50 years ago in a house on the border of Dundas Valley and Telopea by Dr Kelvin Lo and Dr Leslie Nighjoy – two doctors who had a real heart for the community. Their patient-centred approach and dedication has been admired by the many patients who have attended the practice. The photo above is of the house that they worked in over these many years.
In September 2015, the practice relocated to our current address – a shop across the road in Telopea – with a new team of doctors. From February 2016, our surgery has expanded to being affiliated with another practice in Lidcombe (Quality Health Medical Centre), which aims to offer the same philosophy and quality of medicine.
Our practice information sheet can be found here.

The doctors at Dundas Valley Medical Centre are grateful for the opportunity to help you with your healthcare, and have absorbed the increasing operational costs of providing this care over the years to minimise the costs to the community as much as possible. With the sustained inadequacy of government funding to support this, charging a small gap fee has unfortunately become necessary to continue covering these operational costs and providing high quality and safe medical care. If you feel you are specifically disadvantaged by the policy above, please discuss this with your doctor at the time of your consultation.
